Spring Spyre

I started developing the Spring Spyre in 2011 as departure from the lady’s glove and upon meeting Rebecca Fiebrink who demonstrated her application of Neural Networks in Wekinator. I built several models and settled on a found metal ring, 3 long springs, 3 hacked audio pick ups from spring reverb units to generate the audio signals controlling the Machine Learning software and a hacked Roland PC-1600 to mix the various synthesis generated in real time in MAX-MSP. Its name was given by Eliane Radigue, though neither of us can remember now what the name referred to!  It is now my primary instrument. (more info in the videos)
